A well-established and reputable law firm is seeking a Transfer Secretary with solid experience in mortgage-related conveyancing to join their dynamic team.
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Transfer Secretary within a conveyancing environment
- Proven experience handling mortgage-related transfers (including bond registrations and liaising with financial institutions)
- Strong knowledge of Deeds Office procedures and transfer processes
- Ability to manage files from inception to registration independently
- Experience drafting and preparing transfer documentation and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
- Familiarity with FICA compliance and related regulatory processes
- Proficient in relevant conveyancing systems (e.g. Lexis Nexis, GhostPractice or similar) and MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, banks, and third parties
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
