WATCHMAN

We are looking to recruit a reliable and vigilant Watchman to oversee a parking facility located on Edith Cavell Street, Port Louis.

To ensure the security, orderly operation, and proper access control of the company's parking facility, by performing the following duties:

• Open and close the parking premises at the prescribed times.

• Monitor the parking facility throughout the working day to ensure its security and orderly operation.

• Control all entries and verify that only accredited and authorised persons (registered renters of parking plots) are granted access.

• Maintain a register of entries and report any unauthorised access attempts or irregularities.

• Ensure that the parking plots are used only by the persons to whom they are allocated under rental agreements.

• Report any incidents, damage, suspicious activity, or maintenance issues to the relevant supervisor.

• Maintain general orderliness and cleanliness of the parking entry/exit points and watchman post.

• Carry out any other duties assigned by management.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 06h00 to 18h00.

• 48 hours per week, in accordance with prevailing labour legislation.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Basic salary.

• Overtime, as applicable.

• Refund of bus fare.

Candidate Profile

• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.

• Alert and observant, with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Able to work independently and remain at post throughout working hours.

• Good interpersonal skills to interact courteously with parking users.

• Must hold a clean Certificate of Character, as this is a position of trust where integrity and ethics are paramount.

• Prior experience in a security or watchman role would be an advantage.

Note: This is initially a watchman position, with the possibility of an expanded or revised scope of responsibilities in the future, based on operational needs.
