We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to be a part of our exciting team!
The Electrical Engineer will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing equipment, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials / parts, fabrication processes, tooling / production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Other responsibilities include directing and coordinating the overall workflow of the technical activities of the business unit from a high-level perspective.
To provide technical leadership by practicing transparency, ensuring effective communication and maintaining professional and good business relationships between all stakeholders, internal and external to the company – overall adherence to Good Governance.
The Engineer is the main technical link between the customer (internal and external), and supplier’s of Harness Pro.
Responsibilities;
- Receive and analyse new drawings - determine special requirements ie. Equipment, tooling or component and testing specifications etc.
- Confirm new customer requests if within our scope of supply
- Assist in BOM creation - Verify and approve all BOMS created by BOM administrator/ Costing
- Determine/ design an assembly or manufacturing process (PPS)
- Create a Works instructions for Production
- Approval of BOM and drawing changes
- Provide training and guidance - for production and quality
- Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications, quality and safety standards
- Product and process validation: create and maintain wiring diagrams, parts list and electrical harness drawings.
- Prepares and validates manufacturing process layouts.
- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities
- Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service
- Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering
