Position Overview:

Workshop Maintenance Manager Jobs in Ndola The Workshop Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating work assignments, overseeing maintenance operations for both heavy-duty and light vehicles, and fostering the professional growth of workshop team members.

This role requires strong leadership to supervise technical activities, ensure safety compliance, and maintain high-quality standards in vehicle repairs. Key Responsibilities Supervise troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures on heavy-duty and light trucks including FAW, SHACMAN, and HOWO models.

Provide hands-on supervision of all workshop activities, encompassing repair and technical operations. Ensure workshop safety by enforcing equipment and operational protocols, anticipating risks, and guiding staff adherence to standard operating procedures.

Monitor and maintain accurate spare parts usage to support effective forecasting and stock replenishment. Oversee quality control processes, supervise repair quality, offer technical guidance, and optimize workshop workflows.

Manage the workshop environment by organizing working hours, safeguarding employee well-being, maintaining tool and spare parts organization, and ensuring cleanliness. Conduct final inspections and approve all repair work and vehicle testing before release.

Plan and deliver specialized technical training to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Perform additional duties as assigned by company supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Maintenance, Auto Engineering, or a related discipline. Completion of Grade 12 certificate.

Minimum of eight years’ relevant experience, including at least three years in workshop management with a strong focus on service quality. Proficiency in heavy-duty truck engines and chassis, with expertise in major and medium overhauls as well as complex fault diagnosis.

Additional Requirements Residency in Ndola, Kitwe, or surrounding areas is mandatory. Excellent communication, coordination, and management skills.
