Duties include
- Driving sales growth across commercial vehicle and truck spare parts, ensuring consistent achievement of monthly and annual targets.
- Managing and developing relationships with key accounts including fleet operators, workshops, transport companies, and trade customers.
- Identifying new business opportunities and expanding the customer base within the aftermarket truck parts sector.
- Providing technical parts support including product identification, OEM cross-referencing, and VIN-based parts matching.
- Managing quotations, pricing, ordering, invoicing, and back-order processes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitoring sales performance, margins, stock movement, and customer buying trends to maximise profitability.
- Leading and supporting internal and external sales activity, ensuring high levels of customer service and responsiveness.
- Working closely with suppliers and OEM-aligned product partners to ensure availability and competitiveness of product range.
- Ensuring all sales administration is accurate, timeous, and aligned to company procedures.
- Maintaining strong communication with customers through calls, visits, and digital platforms to ensure ongoing engagement and retention.
Requirements: - Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in truck, commercial vehicle, or aftermarket automotive parts sales.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle platforms such as MAN, Volvo, Scania, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, FAW, Hino, Isuzu, or similar, with the ability to identify and source compatible aftermarket replacement parts
- Experience within aftermarket truck body parts, lighting, mirrors, and general commercial vehicle replacement parts will be highly advantageous.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to identify and match parts accurately.
- Experience working with parts catalogues, VIN decoding, and OEM cross-referencing.
- Strong sales ability with proven success in growing accounts and meeting targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office; Excel essential; ERP/SAP experience advantageous).
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
- Clear criminal record and sober habits.
- Organised, reliable and accountable work ethic.
