This is a hands-on leadership role for a couple who bring genuine passion for hospitality, wildlife and guest service, and who want to help run a five-star operation in one of the country's top safari destinations. You'll support the Lodge Manager across every department, keeping standards high and guests happy from arrival to departure.
Core Criteria:
- Previous experience in a luxury lodge or five-star hospitality environment
- One partner should have experience in lodge operations, guest relations, front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, staff management, and administration/reporting
- The second partner should have experience in one or more of: safari guiding (FGASA advantageous), hospitality operations, food and beverage, maintenance, guest activities, or general lodge management
- Rooms division experience
- Practical ability with some maintenance experience
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and experience with hospitality management systems
- Valid driver's licence
- Genuine passion for guest service, excellent communication skills, and a professional, can-do attitude
- Willingness to live and work in a remote bush environment
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure
- Lead and motivate lodge staff through a hands-on management style
- Oversee Front Office, Guest Relations, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations
- Assist with lodge administration, reporting and operational planning
- Maintain the highest standards of presentation and service throughout the lodge
- Handle guest requests and resolve challenges professionally
- Coach and develop team members
- Build lasting relationships with guests, colleagues and travel partners
