Position Overview:
- Bonded Warehouse Supervisor The Bonded Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the bonded warehouse department.
- Key duties include supervising stock verification, coordinating loading activities, and managing warehouse traffic flow to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities for Bonded Warehouse Supervisor Jobs in Ndola On-site Operations Management:
- Supervise all bonded warehouse activities to guarantee efficient handling and workflow.
Vehicle and Documentation Control:
- Manage vehicle access, direct yard traffic, and oversee documentation related to loading and offloading processes.
Personnel Supervision:
- Lead bonded warehouse staff including forklift operators and general assistants, ensuring productivity and safety.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Enforce adherence to regulatory requirements, implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and maintain security to prevent theft, damage, or unauthorized access.
Inventory Verification:
- Conduct thorough checks of incoming and outgoing cargo against waybills to confirm accuracy in quantity and condition.
- Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Degree in Transport & Logistics (CILT), Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (CIPS), Procurement, Warehousing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience managing bonded warehouse sites.
- Basic understanding of Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) customs procedures such as BOE and EX-BOND is preferred.
- Proficient in managing site workforce and equipment including forklifts, reach stackers, and truck fleets.
- Competent in interpreting operational documents and performing basic data management using Excel.
- Membership with the Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (ZCILT) is mandatory.
- Additional Skills and Requirements Excellent communication skills to effectively manage team dynamics and escalate major issues appropriately.
- Strong commitment to safety, customs compliance, and operational responsibility.
