The Chief of Staff will work closely with the executive team in strategic planning, operational coordination, and project management. Key tasks include streamlining strategic initiatives, managing executive schedules, preparing reports, conducting research, facilitating communication, and assisting in decision-making. The Chief of Staff will also interface with key stakeholders and ensure alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has proven success in business management, with a focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration.

The Chief of Staff will oversee various aspects of managing an Executive’s daily work, including presentations, interactions with colleagues, and scheduling. He/she ensures executives remain connected with the company by taking over daily duties, interacting with employees, and addressing issues. The Chief of Staff also filters key information as it’s shared up the executive ranks. Ultimately, a Chief of Staff supports executives in meeting the company’s goals and initiatives. 

Objectives of this role

  • Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership.
  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, programme management, and initiative implementation.
  • Review, design, and execute improvements to organisational structure; find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them.
  • Improve current processes and optimise organisational procedures for efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in a leadership or managerial role is required, with a proven track record in strategic planning and execution.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in the investment or infrastructure sector is a plus.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Providing hands-on support to transform ideas into reality and monitor their progress.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Partner, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee and manage special projects as assigned by the Managing Partner.
  • Coordinate and streamline communication between different departments.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team leaders.
  • Represent the Managing Partner in meetings and discussions when necessary.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the organisation.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure effective staff recruitment and development.
  • Completing special projects and initiatives with skilled oversight and support.
  • Leading meetings and workshops with meticulous planning and coordination.
  • Identifying areas of improvement across the organisation and making actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluating risk factors when making critical business decisions.
