Our client, a leading supplier of sustainable, on-brand packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry, is looking to appoint a detail-oriented Debtors & Admin Clerk based in Johannesburg.
The ideal candidate is organised, accurate, and comfortable working with financial information, customer accounts, and administrative processes in a fast-paced environment. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys debtor management, invoicing, reconciliations, and providing day-to-day administrative support to the finance team.
Key responsibilities include: *Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and timeously *Monitor debtor accounts and maintain updated ageing reports *Follow up on outstanding payments and support credit control processes *Allocate incoming payments correctly *Perform debtor reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies *Liaise with customers regarding statements, invoices, and payment queries *Maintain accurate customer account records *Assist with general finance administration and filing *Ensure all documentation is captured, processed, and stored correctly *All other tasks related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Administration or a related field;
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel;
• Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) will be advantageous;
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
