DOG HANDLER (5)

Description

Duties
Care, and management of dogs for various purposes including security, law enforcement and therapy;
Feed, exercise and groom dogs regularly to ensure their physical health and well-being;
Inspect and assess the behavior of dogs to determine their temperament, ability and aptitude for training;
Provide dogs with reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors;
Handle dogs in different situations such as crowded public places, to ensure they are comfortable and can function effectively.

Qualifications And Experience
A Certificate in Security Guard Training or its equivalent from a reputable Private Security Service Organisation/Public Security Policing Institution/Organisation or Provider;
At least five (5) “O” Level subjects, including English Language;
A minimum of two (2) years relevant post-qualification work experience in Public/Private Security Guarding at reputable organisations;
Clean Criminal Record and must be physically fit;
Be able to demonstrate work or exceptional quality, have good interpersonal skills and good customer service;

Proof of Security and/or Asset Protection Operations Experience would be an added advantage;
Previous experience as a Dog Handler;
Feed, exercise and groom dogs regularly to ensure their physical health and well-being;
Inspect and assess the behavior of dogs to determine their temperament, ability and aptitude for training;
Provide dogs with positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors and
Handle dogs in different situations, such as crowded public places to ensure they are comfortable and can function effectively.
