Endoscope Technician (major repair and recon)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections and validate repair scope
• Execute full internal repairs and complete rebuilds of endoscopes
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and root cause failure analysis
• Perform calibration, alignment, and functional validation
• Carry out final inspection and approve devices for release
• Ensure all repairs meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior technicians
• Drive continuous improvement in repair quality, turnaround time, and cost efficiency
• Maintain accurate and detailed technical documentation
• Act as escalation point for complex repair issues
• Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality requirements

• National Diploma in Biomedical or Clinical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Certification in major endoscope repair and rebuild (preferred)
• 3–5 years’ experience in endoscope repair, including complex repairs
• Proven experience in full disassembly, internal repair, and rebuild of flexible endoscopes
• Strong expertise in diagnostics and root cause analysis
• Advanced understanding of endoscope systems (optical, mechanical, and internal components)
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and regulatory quality standards
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical work
• Leadership and mentoring capability
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in repair tracking systems and MS Office
