Company and Job Description:

A well-established group of companies is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support the finance function on a 3-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting processes, consolidations, reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across multiple entities.

This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who is comfortable working independently while supporting operational and executive management with accurate financial reporting and analysis. The environment is deadline-driven and requires someone who can quickly integrate into the business and add value from day one.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage monthly financial reports and management accounts.
  • Perform consolidations across multiple entities within the group structure.
  • Ensure accuracy of general ledger reconciliations and financial records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and reporting standards.
  • Work closely with operational teams and management to provide financial insights and support.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance and reporting requirements as needed.


Job Experience and Skills Required:


Education:

  • Completed Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar finance role.
  • Strong experience working with group consolidations is essential.
  • Previous exposure within a multi-entity or group company environment advantageous.
  • Experience within commercial, operational, or manufacturing environments advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Evolution is essential.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
