Core Criteria:
- Proven experience in a similar griller or grill station role essential
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, cooking temperatures, and grill techniques
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure during busy service periods
- Excellent attention to detail in food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Sound knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to maintain consistent standards across all service periods
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Flexible and willing to work split shifts and extended hours as required
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage and run the grill station to a consistently high standard across all service periods
- Prepare and cook all grilled items to the correct temperature, specification, and presentation standard
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared, organised, and ready for service at all times
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the grill station and surrounding areas
- Monitor portion control and actively work to minimise food wastage
- Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and seamless service
- Assist with stock control and report any shortages to senior kitchen staff timeously
- Maintain all equipment within the section and report any faults promptly
