Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement & Planning:
- Develop and implement a Group-wide procurement strategy aligned with business goals
- Establish approved vendor frameworks across all subsidiaries
- Lead annual procurement planning and budgeting
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors using due diligence procedures
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, SLAs, and payment terms
- Maintain and update a centralised supplier database
- Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews
Contract & Compliance Management:
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts in collaboration with legal teams
- Ensure compliance with: Company procurement policies, Applicable laws and regulatory frameworks
- Implement audit trails for procurement transactions
Financial Control & Cost Management:
- Monitor procurement budgets and expenditure
- Approve purchase requests within delegated authority
- Implement cost control mechanisms and value-for-money assessments
Process & Systems Optimisation:
- Design and enforce procurement SOPs
- Introduce automation tools and procurement tracking systems
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
Team Leadership & Reporting:
- Supervise procurement staff and assign responsibilities
- Review weekly, monthly, and quarterly procurement reports
- Provide performance evaluations and training
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Cost savings (achieved (% reduction in procurement spend)
- Supplier performance and SLA compliance
- Procurement cycle time
- Budget adherence
- Audit and compliance score
- Vendor diversification ratio
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law, or related field
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) – preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) – highly desirable
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Experience across multi-sector operations (tech, services, logistics)

Remuneration: NGN 500,000 – 700,000 monthly (depending on experience and qualifications)
