Maintenance Manager – Protrusion Equipment

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and performance of protrusion/extrusion equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead the maintenance team, reduce downtime, improve equipment efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage preventative and corrective maintenance programs for protrusion/extrusion machinery.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Minimise production downtime through effective troubleshooting and planning.
• Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and procurement requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Trade Test qualification advantageous.
• Maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of protrusion/extrusion equipment and industrial machinery.
• Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and preventative maintenance systems.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
