Mechanical Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute mechanical engineering projects related to mining equipment and plant operations
  • Engage directly with mining clients to understand operational requirements and challenges
  • Provide technical input and support in the specification and supply of aftermarket spares
  • Identify opportunities to grow aftermarket and spares sales within existing and new client bases
  • Deliver technical presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, production, and service teams to ensure seamless delivery
Minimum Requirements
  • BEng Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a project-based engineering environment
  • Exposure to mining, mineral processing, or heavy equipment industries
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and components
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients
  • Willingness to transition into a client-facing and sales-oriented role
Advantageous
  • Previous experience working with vibrating equipment, screening, or mineral processing machinery
  • Exposure to aftermarket support and spare parts environments
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in technical sales
  • Professional registration (preferred)
