PCB Rework Technician

Zyteq Technologies designs and manufacturers commercial fire detection equipment, and other products for a broad range of customers in the medical, aerospace and FMCG sectors. Our business is experiencing positive growth and we are looking to employ a PCB Rework Technician to work as part of the companies SMT Production Team. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Visual inspection of PCBA’s through optical and digital microscopes to locate process defects • Rework of PCBA assemblies using a combination of manual and specialised equipment for the removal and replacement of electronic components including BGA’s, QFN’s, GSM Modules etc. Desired Experience & Qualification: • Matric with Mathematics (national diploma advantageous) • Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel • CIS Certified to IPC-A-610 Workmanship and IPC7711/7721 Repair & Rework Standards • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an electronic production or development environment • Excellent Soldering skills The ideal candidate must have prior PCB rework experience in the electronics industry. CIS certification of IPC-A-610 Workmanship and IPC7711/7721 Repair & Rework Standards will be a distinct advantage although training will be provided. An enhance industry related salary package dependent on experience.
