Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to locate pest activity and entry points.
- Determine the most effective and safe treatment plan for each unique infestation.
- Prepare, handle, and apply pesticides, baits, and fumigation gases according to label instructions and safety laws.
- Set up and seal structures for large-scale fumigation processes when required.
- Seal entry points, install traps, and implement mechanical pest exclusion methods.
- Maintain detailed digital logs of chemical usage, inspection findings, and treatments applied.
- Educate clients on sanitation practices and preventative measures to avoid future infestations.
- Maintain, clean, and safely store all application equipment and protective gear.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- License: Valid state or national Pest Control Applicator license (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in pest control, fumigation, or agricultural chemical application preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fitness: Physical stamina to crawl into tight spaces (attics, basements), climb ladders, and lift up to 25 kg.
- Driving: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate company service vehicles.
- Safety: Deep understanding of chemical safety, PPE requirements, and hazardous waste disposal protocols.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a professional, reassuring demeanor with clients.
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel to various client locations throughout the day.
- Exposure to outdoor weather, tight crawlspaces, and hazardous chemicals (wearing required protective gear).
- Occasional weekend or evening shifts depending on emergency client needs.
