Quality Controller - Automotive Industry - Dealership exp.

A vacancy for a Quality Controller exists at our automotive dealer client based in Bryanston. Must be a qualified technician with minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Controller in the motor industry. PURPOSE OF JOB: • To ensure the quality of work from the workshop by carrying out road tests on completed vehicles. • The outcome that is produced is well maintained / repaired motor vehicles and will be considered successful when: • There are no comebacks. • Job is done right first time. • Satisfied clients (SCSI). RELATIONSHIPS AND PERSONAL ACTIVITIES: • Directly responsible to the Service Manager. • Relationships with workshop foreman, after-sales consultants, technicians, apprentices, and customers. MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS: • To assist service reception when a vehicle is to be tested with a customer before it enters the workshop and inspect new vehicles. • To assist with “small, waiting” repairs and help in getting the issue resolved it can be done quickly. • To ensure workshop always stays neat and tidy and to control the workshop cleaners. • To ensure wash bay operates efficiently and to control was Bay Staff. • Check that work carried out on vehicle correspondents with work requested on job card. • Liaise with workshop foreman and technicians on failed road tests. • Together with the foreman test each vehicle properly Experience: • Valid driver’s License. • Motor industry experience.
