Veritas General Insurance invites qualified and reputable audit firms to submit proposals for the provision of external audit services for the financial years ending 2026/2027/2028.
About the Company
Veritas General Insurance Company is a licensed insurance provider operating in Zambia, offering a wide range of insurance products including e.g., Motor, fire, burglary and bonds insurance. The Company is committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, transparency, and governance.
Scope of Services
The selected audit firm will be required to:
- Conduct annual statutory audits in accordance with applicable auditing standards (e.g., ISA/IFRS/ZICA)
- Express an independent opinion on the Company’s financial statements
- Review internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Provide a management letter highlighting audit findings and recommendations
- Attend audit committee meetings, where required
Eligibility Criteria
Interested firms must meet the following requirements:
- Be a registered and licensed audit firm in Zambia with ZICA
- Have experience auditing insurance companies or financial institutions (at least 3 years)
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant accounting and regulatory frameworks
- Have qualified and experienced audit personnel
- Provide references from similar engagements

- Proposed audit methodology and approach
- Team composition and key personnel
- Fee structure (clearly stating all costs)
- Work plan and timeline
