RISK AND LOSS CONTROL OFFICER
A leading manufacturing company in the FMCG sector is inviting applications from
suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Risk and Loss Control Officer.
Reporting to: Financial Controller

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Degree in Accounting/Risk Management or related field.
• Relevant professional qualifications are an added advantage.
• Audit experience is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Developing, implementing and enforcing risk and loss policies to safeguard organizational assets and information.
• Managing all insurance aspects of the business.
• Maintaining documentation of all loss prevention activity.
• Advising other departments on development of loss-investigation procedures.
• Monitoring and reviewing paperwork procedures and systems to prevent error and fraud-related shortages.
• Visiting depots to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Identifying operational areas that are vulnerable to theft/pilferage and enhancing loss minimization measures in these areas.
• Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that risk and loss are incorporated into business processes.
• Performing random spot checks in key departments to ensure risk is reduced to a low acceptable level.

Skills:
• Strong investigation skills.
• Excellent report writing skills.
