SAFETY OFFICER – 3 POSITIONS

Job Summary:
The Safety Officer will support the implementation of occupational health and safety standards across mining operations and help ensure employees, contractors, equipment, and work areas comply with applicable safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Support risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and assist with corrective actions.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and inspection documentation.
• Promote the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Experience in mining or industrial environments is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety practices and risk management.
• Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
