1. SECONDARY SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER

Physics / Chemistry and Biology/ Chemistry

We are looking for a capable Science teacher with strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality instruction in Physics, Chemistry and/or Biology.

The ideal candidate should:

·        Hold a Degree qualification and valid professional registration and licence.

·        Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Zambian secondary school curriculum.

·        Be competent in practical and learner-centred Science teaching.

·        Prepare learners effectively for ECZ examinations.

·        Demonstrate strong classroom management and assessment skills.

·        Prepare quality lesson plans, teaching resources and assessments.

·        Be committed to academic excellence and continuous professional development.

·        Participate actively in co-curricular and school activities.

·        Uphold the Christian values and ethos of Rephidim Institute.

2. PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER

General Primary Teaching – Strong Science Competence

We seek a versatile and enthusiastic primary school teacher who is particularly capable of teaching Science effectively at primary level.

The ideal candidate should:

·        Hold a Diploma or degree in primary teaching and valid professional registration and licence.

·        Have strong knowledge of the Zambian primary school curriculum.

·        Demonstrate excellent Science teaching skills.

·        Be able to teach across the primary curriculum.

·        Use practical, creative and learner-centred approaches.

·        Demonstrate effective classroom management and learner support.

·        Monitor and improve learner achievement.

·        Participate in co-curricular and school activities.

·        Uphold the Christian values and ethos of Rephidim Institute.

3. BOYS' BOARDING PATRON

Rephidim Institute is seeking a mature, responsible and highly organised Boarding Patron to take primary responsibility for the, discipline, welfare and daily supervision of boys in the boarding section.

This is a high-responsibility position requiring strong leadership, presence and the ability to manage a large boarding population effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

·        Maintaining high standards of discipline, hygiene, order and personal responsibility.

·        Supervising morning and evening routines and bedtime routines.

·        Conducting regular dormitory checks and reporting maintenance, health, safety or disciplinary concerns.

The ideal candidate should:

·        Be mature, disciplined, dependable and firm but approachable.

·        Have at least 2 (two) years experience in boarding-school supervision, teaching or youth leadership.

·        Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and conflict-management skills.

·        Be capable of managing a large group of adolescent boys.

·        Have strong organisational and reporting skills.

·        Be physically and mentally prepared for the demands of boarding supervision.

·        Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality and sound judgement.

·        Be committed to the Christian values and ethos of Rephidim Institute.

4. SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Inclusive Education & Learner Support

Rephidim Institute Ltd is seeking a qualified, compassionate and professionally competent Special Education Teacher to support learners with diverse educational needs and promote their academic, social and emotional development.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Hold a Degree or a relevant qualification in Special Education, Inclusive Education or a related field.
  • Have a sound understanding of different learning needs and appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, maturity and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work effectively with learners, teachers, parents and school management.
  • Have strong observation, assessment and record-keeping skills.
  • Be innovative and resourceful in adapting teaching and learning materials.
  • Have at least two (2) years of relevant demonstrated commitment to learner inclusion, dignity and academic progress.
  • Possess strong professional ethics and confidentiality.
  • Be committed to the Christian values and educational philosophy of Rephidim Institute.
