Employment Information
Midlands State University is seeking Security Guards to protect its premises, property and assets. Successful applicants will undertake day and night guarding duties, conduct preventative patrols and support campus security.
Duties and responsibilities
• Guard university premises, property and assets during day and night shifts.
• Conduct regular patrols to help prevent crime.
• Manage security incidents and incident scenes within assigned areas.
• Provide the university community with guidance and support on general security matters.
Qualifications
• At least five O-Level passes, including English Language.
• Basic security training from a recognised institution.
• At least two years of experience in the security sector.
• No criminal record.
• Basic computer operating skills.
• Applicants must be aged 45 or below.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work extended hours.
• Initiative and a proactive approach to duties.
