SECURITY OFFICER – RETAIL SUPERMARKET

EASTRAND - GAUTENG

Salary: R10 000-R12 000 Neg CTC DOE

Primary Responsibilities

• Surveillance: Monitor supermarket premises to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.

• Deterrence: Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activities throughout the store.

• Communication: Utilize radio equipment to coordinate with team members and report suspicious incidents or emergencies in real-time.

Key Duties

• Patrol: Conduct regular patrols of the sales floor, focusing on high-risk areas to ensure store policies are followed.

• Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or customer disturbances, taking appropriate action to de-escalate situations.

• Loss Prevention: Monitor checkout areas and entrances/exits to prevent inventory shrinkage and unauthorized removal of merchandise.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related observations for management review.
