We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our Finance & Accounts department and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Position Overview for Senior Accountant Jobs in Lusaka Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will supervise daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and the general ledger.

This full-time role requires a proactive leader who can prepare comprehensive financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The successful candidate will ensure strict compliance with Zambian regulations such as ZRA, NAPSA, and NHIMA while coordinating both internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports Ensure compliance with statutory bodies including ZRA, NAPSA, and NHIMA Manage and mentor junior finance staff to enhance team performance Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 School Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional accounting qualification such as ZICA, ACCA, or CIMA (Level II completed or full membership) Minimum of five years’ experience in finance, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity Membership with ZICA is mandatory Proficient in accounting software such as Pastel, QuickBooks, SAP, or SAGE, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Comprehensive knowledge of Zambian Revenue Authority (ZRA) regulations Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High level of integrity and meticulous attention to detail Effective leadership and team management skills In-depth understanding of Zambian tax laws Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure How to Apply for Senior Accountant Jobs in Lusaka Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV, cover letter, and copies of relevant qualifications via email to hxxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com.
