We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Endoscope Repair Technician to join our technical team. This senior-level role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of device integrity, patient safety, and regulatory compliance through advanced repair, rebuild, and quality assurance of flexible endoscopes.
Job Purpose:
The Senior Endoscope Repair Technician is responsible for performing complex internal repairs, full disassembly and rebuilds, as well as final quality assurance of flexible endoscopes. This role serves as a technical authority within the repair function and provides mentorship to junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and root cause analysis on flexible endoscopes.
  • Conduct full disassembly, internal repair, and complete rebuilds to OEM standards.
  • Execute final testing, calibration, and quality assurance checks prior to release.
  • Ensure all repairs comply with ISO 13485, OEM, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed repair documentation and tracking records.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior technicians.
  • Take ownership of complex repair cases and ensure timely turnaround while maintaining quality.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • National Diploma in Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent three-year technical qualification (or equivalent experience in endoscope repair).
  • OEM certification in major endoscope repair and rebuild (preferably Olympus).
  • Advanced training in flexible endoscope systems, diagnostics, and calibration.
Experience:
  • 3–5 years of technical experience in endoscope repair, including major and complex repairs.
  • Proven progression through Level 1 (Inspection) and Level 2 (Minor Repair) competencies.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with full disassembly, internal repair, and rebuild of flexible endoscopes.
  • Strong diagnostic capability with complex failure modes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and repair tracking/documentation systems.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Advanced technical precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, OEM standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • High level of accountability for patient safety and product quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex workloads under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team support capability.
