About the Role
The Supervisor: Foreman position at Nissan East Rand is a leadership role primarily focused on overseeing production and team performance within a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and quality, while fostering a safe and productive workplace for your team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of production staff, ensuring they meet daily performance and quality targets.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate production schedules and resolve any operational issues.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular team meetings to provide updates, training, and reinforce company policies and procedures.
- Evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement plans where necessary.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on production metrics, workforce performance, and safety incidents.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and the work area to uphold health and safety standards.

Requirements
- Proven track record in a supervisory or foreman role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control methodologies.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and management.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry or with assembly line operations.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with skills development and training programs for employees.
