Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across various industries
- Provide technical product knowledge and recommend suitable solutions based on client requirements
- Collaborate with Directors to develop and implement sales strategies that expand the customer base
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and customer satisfaction
- Prepare quotations, sales forecasts, reports, and daily visit sheets
- Attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events when required
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a technical field would be advantageous
Proven sales experience of components, products, and / or materials, ideally gained over 10+ years
- Experience within rubber, gasketing, felt, foam, construction, component manufacturing, or related industries is highly advantageous
- Exposure to mining, manufacturing, automotive, construction, or industrial sectors would be beneficial
- Ability to identify customer needs and provide solution-based sales recommendations
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficient in MS Office
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel, primarily within the greater Durban region initially, with potential regional expansion
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including Buyers, Business Owners, and Company Directors
