Our client, based between Stellenbosch and Somerset West area, currently has an opportunity available for a detail-oriented and driven accounting professional with strong analytical skills, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Managing debtors and performing debtor cash flow forecasting *Calculating monthly provisions for doubtful debt and processing related journals *Reconciling sales transactions between operational and financial systems *Processing intercompany invoicing and reconciliations *Preparing third-party storage and service calculations and related invoicing *Managing invoicing, and asset sales transactions *Maintaining and reconciling asset registers, including depreciation and amortisation calculations *Preparing and maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules *Processing foreign supplier payments, customer proceeds, and non-supplier payments *Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and reviewing petty cash reconciliations *Reviewing supplier payment packs prior to bank release *Assisting with VAT submissions, inventory reconciliations, and SAWIS reporting *Ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements *Assisting with audit preparation and liaising with auditors *Supporting ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and projects *Collaborating with operations, sales, and HR teams on finance-related matters *Providing guidance and support to assistant accountants *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• BCom Financial Management degree or similar commerce qualification advantageous;
• 3+ years’ relevant accounting experience;
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel;
• Experience working on Sage Evolution or similar accounting software;
• Strong reconciliation and reporting skills;
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities;
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
