Claims Administrator

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Claims Administrator to join their team within the VAPS (value added products) environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of various insurance claims, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to policy terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the following claim types:
  • Warranty
  • Tyre and rim
  • Scratch and dent
• Liaise and communicate consistently with clients, repairers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure a clear understanding and correct application of policy terms and conditions.
• Validate claims by:
  • Confirming policy cover
  • Verifying premiums paid
  • Assessing damage
  • Reviewing limits of liability
• Authorise repairs in line with policy guidelines and delegated authority levels.
• Follow up on outstanding claims, documentation, and authorisations.
• Process and verify invoices accurately and timeously.
• Reject claims where applicable, providing clear and professional explanations to clients.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal processes and turnaround times.

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) required.
• Additional insurance-related qualifications are beneficial.
• Previous experience in claims administration (insurance environment preferred).
• Knowledge of VAPS or similar systems will be advantageous.
