Coal Yard Coordinator – 5 Positions

Job Summary

The Coal Yard Coordinator will coordinate the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of coal within the yard while maintaining accurate operational records.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily coal-yard activities and work schedules.
• Monitor the loading, unloading, movement, and storage of coal.
• Coordinate trucks, drivers, loaders, and other yard personnel.
• Ensure coal is handled and stored according to operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of coal received, moved, and dispatched.
• Monitor truck movements and turnaround times.
• Identify and report operational, safety, or stock discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely dispatches.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate; qualification in logistics, operations, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in logistics, mining, coal handling, or yard operations is preferred.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Good record-keeping and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment and manage multiple activities.
