Credit Officer

Responsibilities:

• Source and onboard qualified loan customers.
• Conduct customer appraisal, verification, and credit assessment.
• Recommend suitable loan facilities based on customers' needs and repayment capacity.
• Monitor loan performance and ensure timely repayments.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Achieve assigned loan disbursement and recovery targets.
• Prepare and submit weekly credit and portfolio reports.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in any relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years' hands-on experience as a Credit Officer in a Microfinance Bank, Finance Company, Fintech, Cooperative, or Lending Institution.
• Proven track record in loan sourcing, disbursement, and recovery.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Good knowledge of credit risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
