Expeditor

Minimum Requirements: 

• Matric / Grade 12.
• 2-5 years' experience in supply chain, logistics, expediting or production support within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems & supply chain software.
• Proven track record of managing suppliers & preventing production delays.
• Proficiency in ERP/SCM systems & MS Office.
• Ability to analyze supply issues & quickly implement solutions.
• Attention to detail & for tracking orders & verifying documents. 

• Monitor the status of purchase orders, shipments & deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time.
• Track & update delivery schedules, proactively adjusting for risks or delays.
• Expedite urgent materials needed to meet production deadlines.
• Review production schedules & identify potential shortages early.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, resolve delays & arrange expedited shipments when required.
• Address issues such as damaged shipments, quantity discrepancies or service problems.
• Coordinate with production, planning, warehousing & procurement to align material availability with manufacturing schedules. 
• Provide regular updates to production managers on material status & potential impacts to production timelines. 
• Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, shortages & supplier performance. 
• Generate progress reports & inventory status updates for management.
