Litigation Attorney (3+ Years PQE) – JohannesburgOur client, a well-established and fast-paced litigation practice based in Johannesburg, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their growing team.
Minimum requirements:
- Independently manage High Court and Magistrates’ Court litigation matters end-to-end
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, applications, notices, and legal correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and litigation strategies
- Attend court appearances and manage all procedural steps in matters
- Consult with clients and provide regular updates on matter progress
- Manage debt collection and selective family law matters
- Liaise with counsel, court officials, and third parties as required
- Maintain full responsibility for file management, deadlines, compliance, and billing readiness
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- Minimum 3 years PQE in litigation
- Strong experience in High Court and Magistrates’ Court litigation
- Solid drafting, research, and case management skills
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of matters
- Strong work ethic with a focus on accountability and delivery
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office
- Own transport and valid driver’s licence required
