About the Role:

Inventory Supervisor Jobs in Solwezi The Inventory Supervisor will play a critical role in optimizing inventory levels and ensuring high parts availability to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational profitability.

This position requires strict warehouse accuracy, effective management of machinery parts and components, and prompt customer account handling to deliver efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular cycle counts, comprehensive stocktakes, and investigate inventory discrepancies.

Monitor stock levels to maintain optimal warehouse fill rates for essential mining and machinery components. Design and maintain efficient storage layouts that maximize space utilization, safety, and picking efficiency.

Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete stock to safeguard working capital. Coordinate invoicing and collaborate with freight forwarding teams to track inbound international shipments.

Investigate and resolve causes of block stock, maintaining detailed reporting logs. Manage vendor claims for damaged or missing stock via the Cat Claims Portal, including timely recording and follow-up in SAP and CAT systems.

Generate reports to optimize bin availability, assign bins, and remove scrapped stock in compliance with policy. Support warehouse daily activities and execute authorized stock movements.

Assist with Proof of Evidence (PoE) audits by providing necessary documentation. Oversee disposal of parts per service letter requirements.

Manage daily stock orders, proof of delivery (POD), and stock performance reports. Control lead-time and surplus management, and maintain parts availability metrics.

Compile and maintain accurate stock accuracy reports. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Full Grade 12 Certificate with good academic performance.

Degree or Diploma in Purchasing & Supply or Supply Chain Management. 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse operations or inventory control, preferably within heavy machinery, automotive, or mining supply sectors.

Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, or Syspro. Membership in the Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) with fees fully paid.

Required Competencies Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills. Effective people management and assertiveness with a customer-focused approach.

Excellent time and self-management abilities. Sound business and financial acumen.
