Junior Cost Accountant

Our client, a dynamic and growing player in the global wine industry with a portfolio of respected wine brands and a strong presence in both local and international markets, is seeking a Junior Cost Accountant to join their team in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Inventory: Manage stock count verification across all winehouses, investigate variances, and ensure accurate inventory reporting. *Production: Process production orders, maintain accurate costing and stock movements, monitor supplier pricing, and support product costing, pricing, and margin analysis. *Bulk Wine: Manage bulk wine purchases, deliveries, invoice matching, stock records, and Fairtrade documentation to ensure accurate stock and cost reporting. *Stock & Costing: Monitor input costs, stock levels, turnover, wastage, and COGS to support accurate reporting and cost control. *Compliance: Prepare and submit accurate information for quarterly Stats SA reporting and other compliance requirements. *General Support: Provide ad hoc support to finance and operations and assist with additional duties as required.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Financial Accounting Diploma or BCom degree;
• CIMA or SAIPA registration is advantageous;
• 3–5 years' experience in cost management and/or cost accounting;
• Cost accounting and administrative experience in a corporate environment;
• Manufacturing industry experience is advantageous;
• Experience using Business Central is advantageous;
• Wine industry experience is advantageous;
• Own reliable transport.
