We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and professional Legal Admin Intern to join our team through the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated young individual looking to gain practical workplace experience in a legal and administrative environment.
The successful candidate will support legal and administrative processes through accurate document management, record keeping, and general office coordination while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with filing, organising, and maintaining legal and administrative documents.
  • Capture and update information accurately on internal systems and spreadsheets.
  • Prepare, scan, copy, and compile legal documentation and reports.
  • Ensure proper document control and record management practices are followed.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and general administrative coordination.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders professionally regarding documentation and administrative requirements.
  • Conduct basic online research and gather information when required.
  • Support the legal and compliance team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Manage multiple administrative tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Minimum requirements:
  • South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated in the YES Programme before.
  • Matric (Grade 12) is required.
  • Qualification in Legal Secretary, Office Administration, Paralegal Studies, Law, or Business Administration will be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Comfortable working with structured and repetitive tasks.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Eager to learn, proactive, and willing to gain experience in a legal environment.
