About the role
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Frontend Developer Intern to join our team. Reporting to the Operations
Manager, you will work alongside experienced developers on exciting projects, contributing to real-world applications while
honing your technical and professional skills. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modern
frontend development, including coding, debugging, testing, and collaborating in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• As a Frontend Developer Intern, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code using CSS and React.
• Debugging and testing frontend components to ensure optimal performance.
• Supporting ongoing development projects and meeting project deadlines.
• Collaborating with backend developers and other team members to deliver seamless solutions.
• Maintaining and improving project repositories using GitHub.
• Gaining familiarity with AWS services and supporting AWS-based projects.
• Participating in technical discussions and contributing innovative ideas.
• Preparing for and engaging in technical assessments and interviews.

• South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES Programme before.
• Enrolled in or completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CSS and React.
• Basic understanding of AWS services (preferred) or willingness to obtain AWS certification during the internship.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to teamwork.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic team environment.
