Job Purpose:

The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial, residential, and industrial piping, drainage, and water supply systems. The role demands precision, the ability to read technical layouts, and a strict commitment to quality finishes.

Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Responsibilities:
Installation & Assembly: Layout, assemble, and install plastic, copper, and iron piping systems, valves, fittings, and fixtures (sanitary ware, geysers, drainage networks).

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret architectural drawings, blue prints, and building plans to plan piping routing and material requirements.

System Testing: Inspect and test installed pipework using pressure gauges and water tests to identify and fix leaks before finishes are applied.

Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose faults, clear blockages, and repair or replace damaged water lines, sewer networks, and hot water systems.

Material Control: Estimate required materials accurately for assigned tasks to minimize waste and prevent project cost overruns.

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications: Journeyman Class 1 or 2 Certificate in Plumbing (HEXCO / Apprenticeship trained).

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of traceable experience working on construction sites or maintenance contracts in Zimbabwe.

Skills: Proficiency in copper welding/brazing, PVC solvent welding, and operating modern plumbing machinery.

Attributes: High attention to detail (leak-free guarantee) and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
