Plumbing Counter Sales Consultant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist walk-in customers with plumbing and bathroom product enquiries and sales
• Provide product advice, quotations, and recommend suitable solutions based on customer needs
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Manage ordering of stock and follow up on supplier deliveries
• Monitor stock levels and ensure products are consistently available to meet demand
• Maintain accurate sales records and related administrative duties
• Keep a daily record (dairy/logbook) of tasks, orders, and follow-ups to ensure nothing is missed
• Support general store operations and maintain a clean, organised sales area
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business

• Previous experience in plumbing sales or a similar retail sales environment (essential)
• Knowledge of plumbing and bathroom products (strong advantage)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to manage stock control and ordering processes
• High attention to detail and accuracy in sales documentation
• Energetic, proactive, and customer-focused personality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable
• Must be able to maintain a daily diary/log system effectively
