Key Responsibilities of the Safety Officer The Safety Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment by:
- Ensuring strict compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and safety inspections.
- Investigating workplace incidents to identify causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborating with management and staff to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
- Academic qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety roles.
