Remuneration: ±R8000 (Offer made on discretion of company) Location: Centurion Working hours: Monday-Friday: 08h00-17h00 and Saturdays: 08h00-14h00 Position Overview We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to safeguard our retail premises, staff, and customers. The role involves maintaining a secure environment, preventing theft, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Key Responsibilities • Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access. • Conduct routine patrols inside and outside the store. • Check customer purchases against till slips at exit points to prevent theft and ensure accuracy. • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or alarms. • Deter shoplifting and handle offenders professionally. • Assist customers and staff during safety or evacuation procedures. • Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate security records. • Collaborate with management and law enforcement when required. Minimum Requirements • Matric • Experience in security an advantage but not needed • Able to write and read in English/Afrikaans • Strong communication and conflict management skills. • Physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods. • Professional appearance and customer friendly demeanor. • Ability to remain calm under pressure and act decisively.
