My client is looking for a highly experienced and driven Training Centre Manager / General Manager to lead the launch and operational management of a new Trade Training Centre in the East Rand.This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a startup training facility and grow it into a fully operational, high-performing centre with full P&L responsibility.The successful candidate will initially lead the setup and establishment phase of the centre and will then transition into full operational leadership as the facility scales.
Minimum requirements:
- Red Seal Trade Qualification (Machinist / Toolmaker or related technical trade)
- Minimum 10+ years post trade-test experience
- Proven progression into senior leadership roles (e.g. Senior Facilitator, Head of Department, Operations Manager)
- Experience within a TVET College, OEM Technical Academy, or accredited private training provider
- Strong knowledge of QCTO and/or MERSETA training frameworks and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing technical training delivery and operations
- Previous exposure to staff management and team leadership
- Solid understanding of training centre operations, scheduling, and quality assurance processes
- Strong business acumen with exposure to budgeting and operational performance management (P&L advantageous)
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
