The Site Manager will be responsible for the full on-site execution of architectural, renovation, and workspace fit-out projects. You’ll ensure designs are built accurately, projects stay on schedule/budget, and safety/quality standards are met from groundbreaking to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural, structural, MEP drawings, and BOQs on site
- Plan daily/weekly work schedules and allocate tasks to subcontractors, artisans, and labor
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and logistics to avoid downtime
- Resolve technical issues with architects and engineers on site
- Ensure all work matches approved drawings, specs, and design finishes
- Conduct regular inspections for workmanship, alignment, finishes, lighting, acoustics
- Manage snag lists and defect corrections before handover
- Monitor material usage and minimize waste
Organize site mobilization activities and resource allocation.
- Coordinate daily site operations and construction activities
- Approve material requests and track site expenses against budget
- Prepare variation orders for any scope changes
- Submit daily/weekly site progress reports with photos to PMs.
- Keep records of site meetings, attendance, deliveries, and variations
Requirements Education & Experience
- HND/BSc/BEng in Architecture, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
- Minimum 1-3years site management experience
- At least 3 years of handling commercial fit-outs, office renovations, or workspace design projects
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and site teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp for on-site drawing checks
- Understanding of materials, finishes, acoustics, lighting, and MEP coordination for workspaces
- Certifications - Added advantage
